Everything has it's place..

..except the blasted headbands. Honestly what do you do with all of them? They don't stack proper, you cartainly can not just toss most of them in a drawer, the cute bows and puffs get all jacked up. I have tolerated this long enough, time for a solution!
We recently redid our bathrooms, the floor, the paint, the deco, basically feng shui'd it so the "gillies" (A.K.A. my girls, there are three) could operate with minimal mess. The headbands where frustrating, they end up taking over drawers and countertops. After dissapointing myself and searching for clever headband storage idea's I came up with this. The headband hanger. You could easily use a hanger instead of a ribbon, but I wasn't feelin' my plastic hangers, but you know those super cute puffy fabric covered hangers, those would totally work if they were the approximate size of a headband, someone do that and let me know how it turns out. Anyways, ideally a Quaker Oats container (wider and longer) would have been best but all I had was this Pero container.
I just used some elmer's glue but you could use modge podge, double sided tape or skip this step all together.
I used a knife to puncture the bottom of the can, wide enough for the ribbon to slide through.
Slide your ribbon through and tie a bow, knot or whatever your fancy. I ran some glue along the ribbon that it inside the can to prevent it from sliding around.
Hang up your new headband abode and add headbands. Do you like that I spelled viola instead of voila? I do.
